National Account Executive - Graduate

Salary £30,000

Hours: 8.30 - 17.00 (Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours)

Our client is a multinational company with a UK division and factories across Europe. We have an exciting opportunity for a National Account Executive.

This position requires the ability to build strong customer relationships and to execute sales strategies that drive growth within a portfolio of customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities: National Account Executive

  • B2B Account Management:
    • Cultivate and manage relationships with B2B and wholesale accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and sales growth.
    • Identify and prospect new customers, building a pipeline of opportunities.
    • Develop customised sales proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs and company business objectives.
    • Provide accurate sales forecasts and work closely with supply chain to ensure high service levels for customers.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Market & Competitive Analysis:
    • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and challenges.
    • Use Kantar data to monitor the market and create reports on market developments for the sales team. Work with Account Managers to create customer specific market insight presentations (training will be given) to use during business and category review meetings
  • Collaboration & Coordination:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain, technical) to ensure client needs are supported and understood.
    • Attend trade shows, industry events, and conferences to strengthen relationships with customers.
    • Be able to cover office management tasks such as post / courier / site visits when the Commercial Assistant is away.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: National Account Executive

  • Educated to degree level or of graduate calibre
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working to targets
  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed to meet with clients and attend events.
  • PC literate with good Microsoft Office skills
  • Live within 20 miles or easy commutable distance of Dunstable
