Industrious Recruitment are seeking a Team Leader for a client in the Dunstable area. This is a permanent position.

This is a Panama shift pattern.

Main purpose of job:Co-ordination of daily production activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Supervision and Leadership:

o Lead, motivate, and guide a team of production workers to achieve daily production targets.

o Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring optimal use of resources.

o Provide coaching, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

o Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

  1. Production Oversight:

o Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

o Ensure production schedules are followed, and deadlines are achieved.

o Identify and resolve production issues or bottlenecks in a timely manner.

o Collaborate with other departments to optimize production workflows.

  1. Quality Assurance:

o Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications of all products made on the shift.

o Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain product quality.

o Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.

  1. Safety and Compliance:

o Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

o Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for team members.

o Investigate and report any accidents or safety incidents.

o IOSH - Qualification.

  1. Reporting and Communication:

o Prepare and submit daily production reports to management.

o Communicate production goals, updates, and challenges to the team.

o Act as a point of contact between production staff and management.

  1. Continuous Improvement:

o Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

o Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.

o Encourage team members to contribute ideas for improvement.

  1. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

o Production output vs. targets

o Product quality and defect rates

o Team productivity and efficiency

o Safety incident rates

o Time and Attendance
