Industrious Recruitment are seeking a Extrusion Operator for company based in Dunstable. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an individual, who is looking to be a part of a growing team.

Main purpose of job: Supporting the factory extrusion processes and team, executing procedures and policies that will maximise safety, product quality and productivity.

Rate: £13.64/ph

Your day-to-day tasks may include:

  • Liaise with Extrusion Manager Operator on Job priority
  • Understand Works Orders for instructions
  • The ability to confidently cover all Extrusion Lines, identify faults and solve problems
  • Support other Extrusion Operators during their start-ups and change overs
  • Carrying out quality checks at the beginning, during and at end of each job and signing (works orders) as confirmation that the final inspection criteria/Fit for Purpose (correct size produced, quantities are correct, well presented press or prints) and the flame, corona, anti-bacteria tests have been carried out and the Extrusion Manager has counter signed approval before releasing the order for delivery to the customer
  • Labelling, stacking and packing finished product for delivery and taking to designated area
  • Recording, measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery
  • Granulating waste
  • Carrying out basic machine maintenance
  • Reporting equipment faults or problems
  • Cleaning and maintaining work area and machinery, ensuring a clean and tidy handover
  • Ensuring the factory is kept clean, secure and tidy internally and externally
  • Ensuring sufficient amount of pallets and raw material are conveniently located
  • Using lifting equipment, cranes and forklift trucks
  • Maintaining uniform standards and the use of PPE
  • Following Health and Safety standards and High Hygiene procedures at all times
