What You Can Expect
- Location - Dunstable (Hybrid 3 days in per week)
- Salary - £650 - £750 per day Inside IR35
- Industry - Hospitality
- Work type - 3-month contract (Start date - 16th December 2024)
Main Responsibilities as a Commercial Counsel
- Drafting, negotiating and finalising a wide variety of complex commercial contracts including heads of terms and confidentiality agreements.
- Ensuring that all contracts protect the businesses interests and minimise risks.
- Developing and standardising legal agreements to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Proactively engaging with stakeholders to streamline agreement processes.
- Providing prompt and practical legal advice to the marketing team to ensure compliance with advertising and marketing laws/regulations.
- Advising on the application of advertising codes of practices and helping the business avoid potential fines, public censure or reputational damage.
- Assisting the Legal Director and General Counsel in implementing and improving the compliance program, including adherence to the Code of Conduct and ASA compliance.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- *CANDIDATES MUST BE BASED IN THE UK*
- Proven track record within a commercial role.
- Experience working with contracts, compliance and general corporate is essential.
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 6 years post qualification experience at a large commercial law firm or large PLC in-house department is essential.
- A Bachelor’s degree with a 2:1 or above grade from an established university.
- Experience applying ASA rules and guide terms to ensure compliance is desirable.
