African Supplies Ltd (ASL) is a small and highly effective team which markets and distributes quality construction brands across Africa and the Middle East. Although small, they pack a mighty punch, with historic sales of over £250m and market leader position in most markets. In fact, they’ve made household names of their Decra® and Gerard® Roofing System brands. Not bad for a roof tile!

As they enter our 25th year, they’re looking for a talented digital marketeer to take their existing online presence to the next level with a mixture of brand awareness and online sales generation.

The Role

They operate in a large, diverse and dynamic market that requires energy, creativity, and understanding.

Managing and growing their digital presence, you’ll understand the commercial opportunities of each digital channel and utilise the latest trends to generate qualified leads for their Distribution Partners to convert into sales.

Skills Required to succeed in this role:

This is a role in which we’ll help you to grow and develop, so to start they’d like you to have:

  • The latest trends and future direction of commercial social media under your belt
  • Good knowledge of all social media platforms, but particularly Facebook and Instagram
  • An understanding of Meta Business suite
  • Some experience with a CRM software like HubSpot or similar
  • Know-how of Email Marketing
  • Campaign setup and management experience
  • Knowledge of Lead Generation and Lead nurturing
  • The ability to report and use data to consistently improve our performance.
  • And be competent on Microsoft, Adobe and Canva

As you develop into the role, they’ll expect you to become an expert in these things and develop your commercial acumen to increase sales while managing a budget.

To keep things interesting, because they’re quite a small team, there will, from time to time, be opportunities to get involved in other parts of the business, so they’re looking for someone with a can-do attitude who enjoys new experiences.
