Morgan Hunt is working with a fantastic college in the Bedfordshirearea, together, we are seeking to appoint a talented, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Catering Lecturer to join them. Job Title -?Catering & Hospitality Lecturer Location - Dunstable Hours -?Part-Time Start - ASAP - subject to successful interview Length of contract - Till December 2024 - with the possibility of going permanent Payrate - £30 - £35 p/h depending on experience Role Specific -
- Assisting with curriculum design and development.
- Assisting with the production of learning resources.
- Planning, delivering and assessing sessions in catering and hospitality. Ensuring that delivery of instruction remains up to date.
- Being responsible for the supervision of learners in the kitchens and restaurant including commercial restaurant sessions taking place in the Manor House Restaurant.
- Monitoring the progress of learners and carrying out competence-based assessment and/or assessment to standard formats. Monitoring and report learners' progress.
- Carrying out first-line supervision and discipline of learners.
Experience/Qualifications -
- Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a Catering or Hospitality discipline
- Good level of education to include maths and English to GCSE (Grade A - C) or equivalent (level 2)
- Good practical experience of recent industrial/commercial employment
- Demonstrable knowledge of Equality and Diversity
- Experience and skills of training and demonstrating
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work evenings as required to support in commercial restaurant sessions
- Hold a driving licence
