About the Role:
Dunbar Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a secondary school for a maternity cover position. This role will run from September 2025 to September 2026 and will involve teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and contribute to a dynamic science department.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing appropriate feedback and support.
Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Maintain high expectations of student behaviour and achievement.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
