We are now looking for a HGV Trailer Technician to work on a permanent basis with our busy and friendly client based in Dunstable.

This is a hands-on position that requires technical knowledge and problem solving skills.

The bit about the shift pattern:

- Day Shift = 8.00am to 4.30pm - Monday to Friday

The bit about the pay and perks:

- £26.90 per hour + Overtime (Saturdays) paid at £40.35 per hour

The bit about the duties:

- Perform detailed inspections, servicing and repairs on trailers

- Carry out brake tests

- Trailer MOT preparation

- Accurately complete all compliance documentation

- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues

- Order parts and materials as needed for repairs

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

The bit about the required skills:

- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair trailers

- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment

- Good organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

- Initiative to work autonomously if required.

The bit about experience/qualifications:

- City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 OR qualified by experience
