Your new companyI am delighted to be working with one of the UK's largest accountancy practices, specifically assisting them in recruiting an Audit Senior to join their Durham team.Working with a broad range of clients to include charities, Large Consolidated Groups and Limited Companies, you may also be required to assist with key audits across their North East network of offices. Your new roleAs a senior, you will have the ability and motivation needed to:

  • Begin to take ownership of your own portfolio with support from your manager
  • Support in delivering revenue and profitability targets
  • Begin to develop enduring client relationships

Day to day duties will include:-

  • Heavily involved in the completion of audit fieldwork/planned substantive and analytical audit procedures, normally on site at client premises
  • Responsibility for the planning and completion of audit assignments, whilst ensuring audit files have appropriate and sufficient documentation
  • Prepare statutory financial statements from client data and highlight high level risk areas or matters of concern to the Partner /Manager whilst using a significant degree of your own judgement
  • Planning the execution and finalisation of the audit assignments for Partner/Manager review

What you'll need to succeedIdeally, you will be newly qualified ACA/ACCA or CA or close to qualifying. You will already have experience of leading audits and supervising junior audit team members. You will be able to plan, execute and finalise audits ready for Manager review.
