Payroll Specialist

Salary: From £35,000.

Fixed term contract:6 months.

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist with a strong payroll background to hit the ground running for an organisation in Durham.

The purpose of this role is to support in the effective delivery and management of the operational aspects of the payroll function.

The Role

You will lead and support the department responsible for all payroll processes.

You will support the payroll administration functions of the department, ensuring the service delivers timely, accurate and compliant payments to employees and external stakeholders.

About You

Oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships both internally and externally.

Oracle Payroll experience would be desirable.

Professional payroll practitioner with complex payroll knowledge and expertise used to contributing to the delivery and development of services, events and activities within an organisation.

Experience of providing specialist advice and guidance to a range of customers and colleagues, including more senior colleagues.

Knowledge of relevant legislative and statutory regulations.
