Job Purpose
  • Support a varied portfolio of clients, providing excellent taxation compliance, advisory and planning services
  • Preparation of personal tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and individuals with rental income
  • Preparation of capital gains tax computations within self-assessment returns
  • Preparation of P11D and P11D(b) forms
  • Ensure HMRC compliance with relevant statutory requirements, liaising directly with them on clients’ behalf
  • Work closely with Senior Managers and Partners to ensure service excellence across the team
  • Research regularly to interpret changes in tax laws and regulations
  • Nurture meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • Mentor and guide junior staff by reviewing work and knowledge sharing
  • Champion your own professional development by undertaking progression opportunities where possible

Job Requirements
  • ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified, part-qualified or with the desire to begin studying
  • Proven track record of working in a tax role within UK practice
  • Highly personable and an excellent communicator, both on paper and in person
  • Excellent understanding of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Well organised and confident managing own workload autonomously
  • Good at working under pressure to meet deadlines, budgets and targets
  • Self-motivated, professional and reliable
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel etc
  • An enthusiasm to progress within the firm, undertaking continuous professional development
