A Highways Operative to work in a carriageway patching gang, laying by hand 10 - 20 Tonne of bitmac per day. Essential skills as per attached job description, but as working in a highly mechanised operation a Cat CE full driving licence would be an advantage and plant driving experience or certification (NPORS or similar) for any one of roller, Bobcat Skidsteer, and road planer would be desirable. Ability to rake tar would be advantageous but not essential and must have own transport to get to Depot or site. May be required to work from other depots at Bishop Auckland, Chilton or Wolsingham as occasional holiday cover etc.
