Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in working with sheet metal. This role involves operating press brake machinery to fabricate components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and precision in every task.
Duties:
Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine specifications.
Set up tooling and adjust machine settings for various production runs.
Assemble fabricated parts as required, ensuring they meet quality standards.
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Utilise hand tools effectively for assembly and fabrication tasks.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.Person Specification:
Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Proficient in basic maths for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
Familiarity with tooling and fabrication processes related to sheet metal work.
Ability to weld is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
Experience using hand tools safely and effectively.
Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.Hours of Operation:
Working 2 shift rotation pattern, consisting of days and lates both Monday to Friday
