THE BUSINESS

A forward-thinking company in the timber processing and fabrication industry, specialising in high-quality timber products. They value precision and craftsmanship, ensuring every product meets strict quality standards. As the business expands, they are seeking a skilled Press Operative to support their growing production needs.

THE ROLE

• Dextrous and used to working with hands, would suit somebody from a simple assembly process
• Capable of reading a tape measure and marking timber accurately for cutting
• Uses glue and nail gun and use of saw to cut timber laths to length
• Can inspect product and meet quality criteria
• Fills and repairs timber as necessary

THE PERSON

• Able to read drawings, and documented instruction
• Able to use a PC for printing works instructions and labels, scanning of labels for completed components
• Experience as a press operative
• Experience using power tools

THE PACKAGE

• Pay rate of £11.50 - £13.45 per hour.
