We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Supervisor to work for one of ourNHSclients in the Durham area.

You will effectively support and supervise the domestic & linen services team using available resources. This includes monitoring the levels of cleanliness within the hospital environment and ensuring adherence to National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Safe use of chemicals, machinery and appropriate use of P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment) by staff under your control.

Maintain staffing rotas / schedules as specified and ensure any remedial tasks are carried out in a timely fashion.

Ensure departmental resources are correctly managed and maintained throughout the work area e.g., stock and equipment.

Report any structural or fabric repairs to be made good via appropriate systems.

Monitor staff for adherence to all relevant policies and procedures that are relevant to the area and that they are working in a safe manner.

Identify staff training / development needs using the clients appraisal system and organise appropriate training for the various staff groups under your control including new employees.

Present accurately collected and analysed information to the Head of Operational Services to facilitate the effective use of departmental budgetary resources.

Monitor staff time sheets / attendance and sickness records in accordance with the relevant Trust policies and procedures.

Help carry out Domestic & Linen Services orientated duties as required.

As part of the recruitment process, candidates must provide a three-year employment history covering any gaps in employment

This role will require a DBS check prior to employment.
