The Role:Our client is a prominent business in the North East with market leading products and services all facilitated by a state of the art manufacturing facility in the County Durham area. Due to business growth they are looking to appoint an Engineering Manager to take responsibility for a range of operational facilities in terms of availability and reliability performance, in addition to taking a lead on capital developments and investments over time. * Analyse, propose and manage budgets, technologies and resources for projects* Plan strategies for the development of routine maintenance systems and upgrades to equipment and systems on schedule and on budget.* Communicate and collaborate with other managers, stakeholders and contractors.* Prioritise, delegate and supervise all engineers' activities and deliverables.* Manage, support and evaluate team performance.* Hire new talent for the team and offer coaching and development opportunities.* Provide input in strategic technical decisions and solutions, when needed.* Build the entire technical documentation and project roadmaps.* Asset Management.The Person:You will have demonstrable leadership experience in Engineering & Maintenance management from a high pressure, fast paced manufacturing environment. Ideally degree qualified, or with commensurate experience and intellectual capability and strategic foresight.You should also have a strong background in multi-skilled maintenance from a hands on perspective, with exposure to PPM systems and capital projects.
