Lemon Drizzle recruitment has been appointed to recruit a Contracts Manager for a Regional Contractor based in County Durham.

An introduction to the Company and what it’s like to work for them

This is a well-established regional contractor who work as both a main contractor and subcontractor depending on the scope of works. This business prides itself on being solutions focused and encourages collaboration from all departments to ensure upmost client satisfaction. They have several employees with over 10 and 15 years continuous service which is a testament to the friendly, supportive culture they offer.

The Contracts Manager position has derived from organic growth and the company wish to employ the successful candidate on a permanent basis.

What you’ll be doing and be responsible for

You will manage a diverse range of projects ranging from 1k to 3m, predominately in the public sector. You will work very closely with the commercial team managing approximately 6 projects across the North East.

The main objective of the role is to be able to manage projects from tender stage to client handover. You will need the capacity to lead jobs yourself and produce your own purchase orders and valuations.

You will be office based from 8am – 5pm (4pm on a Friday) with regular visits to site and report into the Operations Manager.

Who is this role ideal for?

  • Good IT knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Asta or equivalent and have the ability to produce build programmes.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • NVQ Level 5 or 6, SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS.
