This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing field operations and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Overview of the Escalator Service Leader Role:
As the Escalator Service Leader, you will be the primary point of contact for customers within your area and will oversee field operations within the region. You will manage resources, optimise team performance, and ensure customer satisfaction, all while meeting business targets for the branch. You will be accountable for safety, quality, customer communication, and cost management, with a focus on team development and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of the successful Escalator Service Leader :

  • Optimise staffing of service engineers and technicians, including route planning, workload distribution, and skill matching.
  • Manage the maintenance portfolio, from service contract acceptance to collection of bad debts, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver on repair sales targets as set by the Regional Director.
  • Lead and support engineers and technicians, enhancing customer satisfaction, work quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Address customer complaints, manage claims, and ensure timely follow-up on service issues.
  • Conduct regular quality and safety audits to maintain high service standards.
  • Manage and resolve issues with underperforming units in collaboration with the Regional Technical Specialist.
  • Oversee chargeable and non-chargeable repairs, from sales to completion, working closely with the credit control team to collect outstanding debts.
  • Support sales activities by recovering lost units and converting products approaching warranty expiration into new contracts.
  • Foster employee development through on-the-job training, safety sessions, and toolbox talks.
  • Lead monthly meetings with your team to review performance, set goals, and address any challenges.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Candidate Requirements for the successful Escalator Service Leader:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant technical or business field.
  • Experience in Management or Engineering in the lift & escalator industry
  • Proven track record in managing customer relationships and delivering exceptional service.
  • Knowledge of the lift or escalator industry or facilities management is desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
