Reed Procurement and Supply Chain are delighted to be supporting an established business who are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Manager on a permanent contract.

Job Duties include:

• Operational transport compliance• Scheduling, analysis and planning • Incident investigation and assist in the disciplinary processes, accident and incident investigations, driver training and auditing• Performance management, absence management, KPI setting and 121s and Interviewing• Support to be given on vehicle and supplier procurement and supply.• Liaison with internal department and external third parties• Submit Transport updates and reports to Senior Management Team• Transport Employee Recruitment & Development• Health and safetyCaniddate requirements:

• CPC Qualification/ADR Knowledge desirable• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar transport management role with strong understanding of Transport Compliance• Experience of vehicle routing and excellent geographical knowledge for the North East region• Experience of building relations and working with drivers on a daily basis• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise• People Management, including hiring, performance management, absence management, disciplinary actions• Excellent PC skills including Microsoft packages with Intermediate Excel skills
