THE ROLE

As part of the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for leading the production team to meet production targets while maintaining a high level of quality control and safety standards. You will oversee production operations, manage production schedules, and ensure that production processes are running efficiently. PQCDDS will be at the forefront of your mind and will set the agenda for all activities undertaken. You will ensure our client is the most productive door manufacturer in their industry through producing the best quality product at the lowest cost, delivering on time and whilst working in a safe environment. Some of your duties will include:

  • Manage production staff including training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure a high level of performance and productivity
  • Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet production targets and maintain quality standards
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure that production goals are aligned with overall business objectives
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to Impact all areas of PQCDDSE
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
  • Create and maintain production documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure that production is aligned with demand
  • Provide regular reports on production performance to senior management
  • Undertake 1 to 1’s ensuring all Team Leaders fully understand their roles and are able to deliver the goals set for them
  • Assist, support, encourage and manage the ISO standards for the site with the QHSE Manager.


THE PERSON

You will be a highly motivated, driven individual who puts the customer at the centre of everything you do. You will contribute to the growth and success of the business through your skills and experience and you will have

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in production planning and scheduling tools, and other manufacturing software tools
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, rapidly growing business
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage
  • A good working knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office
