Location: HMP Holme House, Stockon-on-Tees

Hours: 39 hours per week (across 7 days with a weekend shift pattern in place)


About the Role:

Join our team as a Maintenance Plumber at HMP Holme House, where you’ll have the opportunity to work within the prison service. This role offers a unique and rewarding challenge, with the potential for permanent opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and non-routine plumbing maintenance tasks.
Identify and repair life-expired plumbing equipment.
Conduct fault-finding and make necessary plumbing repairs.
Carry out inspections, water sampling, and risk assessments.
Perform mains water supply repairs.
Minimize wastage and continuously improve processes.
Ensure all statutory works are completed on time and compliant with regulations.
Work at height and in all weather conditions as required.
Support local and business zero carbon programmes, working strategically towards zero carbon goals.
Maintain high health and safety standards across the contract.

Requirements:

Ideally, NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance (NVQ Level 2 or time-served applications may also be considered).
