Description
- Providing accounting assistance to the accounting department.
- Typing accurately, preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
- Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements.
- Reconciling accounts in a timely manner.
- Researching, tracking and restoring accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Functioning in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.
- Constantly updating job knowledge.
Profile
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar Finance Assistant role (at least two years)
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- Competency in working with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
