Cover Supervisors are essentially unqualified cover teachers who are able to take the responsibility of the full time class teacher if the full-time class teacher is absent.

A large school based in County Durham is looking for Cover Supervisors to start as soon as possible.

Positions include part time and regular day to day work with the potential to go full time in the future for the right Cover Supervisor.

Key Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and engaging students in their learning
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Supporting the educational progress of our students
  • Have good behaviour management skills to manage the classroom in line with the schools policies.
  • You won’t need to prepare lesson plans. The class teacher provides the teaching materials and items necessary for the lesson.
  • Be willing to cover a range of subjects and all age groups if necessary.

Requirements:

  • A passion for education and a desire to inspire students
  • Flexibility to adapt to various subjects and age groups
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A positive and patient attitude
  • Desirable but not essential experience within a Classroom environment.
