- Deliver engaging and tailored English lessons to small groups of learners.
- Support students in developing their literacy skills and confidence.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students working below age-related expectations.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to support student progress and well-being.
- Help students overcome barriers to learning and re-engage with education.
- Experience tutoring or teaching English, ideally within an alternative provision or SEN setting.
- Experience working with students who require additional behavioural or emotional support.
- Strong ability to differentiate lessons to support varying ability levels.
- A passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Teaching qualification (desirable but not essential).
