LGBT Community MentorLocation: Covering County Durham - Head Office: BowburnSalary: £24,000 Per AnnumContract: *Temporary - 8 week contract*

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated LGBT Community Mentor to join our team, providing specialist support to LGBT+ young people and their families, particularly around gender identity and sexual orientation.

As part of a supportive team, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of service users, ensuring high-quality assessments and risk evaluations.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to help individuals lead a fulfilled, stigma-free life.
  • Liaise with families, professionals, and agencies to ensure holistic support.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver activities that empower LGBT+ young people and their families.

Person Specification

Experience in managing a caseload of service users.Knowledge and experience of the LGBT communitySkilled in delivering 1-2-1 and group interventions.Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures for children and adults.
