The Organisation.Nigel Wright is delighted to be supporting a charitable organisation who provide support and guidance to individuals facing fuel poverty, this organisation who initially started by providing a telephone service have now grown a team of Fuel Poverty Advisors who work across the UK, working with individuals facing fuel poverty and providing them with solutions, advice and support to improve their circumstances. They are looking to increase their service offering by recruiting a Home Visit Advisor to support them in the North East of England.The Opportunity.As a Home Visit Advisor you will provide the next level of support after initial contact with the telephone advice service, you will visit the properties and provide advice and guidance to vulnerable households, which could include the elderly, young families and those with health conditions. During the home visit you will assess their property for energy efficiency improvements and then creating a home visit report to refer into a range of case management services onward social care and health support. You will also be involved in providing awareness sessions or training to to local voluntary sector services or the public.What you need to succeed.This role will offer full training to understand the sector and the service offerings, however the ideal candidate will have had some exposure to the industry either working within customer services or as a support worker within a not for profit setting and have a passion for supporting and helping people.Please note this role requires a candidate with a car, full UK driving licence and is for an initial 12 month contract.
