Our client is looking to recruit compassionate and dedicated Befrienders to provide companionship and support to individuals in need. As a Befriender, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being and quality of life of those you befriend. This is a job suitable for anyone that would like a few paid hours a week including expenses such as travel to the service users home.
Duties:
- Accompany an adult with a learning disability on outings or activities of the clients choosing,
- this may be just a visit to the shops, a game of pool in the pub, a visit to a café or a walk in the country, in fact whatever the service user would like to do
- Maintain regular communication with care providers to ensure the well-being of the individual
- Casual dress
- Flexitime
- Free or subsidised travel
- Health & wellbeing programme
- Paid training
Shifts & Pay:
- Expected hours: No less than 3 per week which can be increased as we get referrals.
- £12.21 per hour
