Job Description:

Are you a committed social worker with a passion for fostering and supporting children and families.
In this role, you will work closely with foster carers, children, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that the children in foster care thrive in safe and supportive environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of potential foster carers and preparing reports for fostering panels.
  • Matching children with suitable foster carers and overseeing the placement process.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, health professionals, and educators, to ensure the well-being of children in foster care.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and child care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, placements, and ongoing support.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in a social work role, preferably within fostering or children's services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with foster carers, children, and professionals.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and child care.
