Pay Range/details: £15.27 per hour (double day shift, details below)

Contract Type: Temporary to permanent

A leading Textile Manufacturer based in Cam, Dursley, is looking for a trainee Machine Operator to join their weaving department. The position is full time on double day shifts and after training the successful candidate will have the opportunity to join on a permanent contract. Due to the complexity of this role, candidates must have a manufacturing background with machine operating experience.

Shifts are based on a weekly rotation:

Earlies- Monday- Thursday 06:00- 14:00, Friday 06:00- 13:00

Lates- Monday to Thursday 14:00- 22:00, Friday 13:00- 20:00

Key Responsibilities – Machine Operator

  • Running a selection of high-speed weaving machines
  • Ensuring quality of cloth meets pre-determined specifications
  • Logging and reporting issues and sub-standard products
  • Responsible for your own work area
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to pick new tasks up quickly
  • Flexibility
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hours of work are shown above but over-time working is expected as and when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements – Machine Operator

  • Minimum of 2 years within a manufacturing environment
  • Good organiser with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
