We’re recruiting for a motivated and organised HR professional to join our client’s small and friendly team. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day HR activities as well as other long-term projects such as pay reviews, appraisals, and ongoing employee training and development.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and will ideally possess a professional qualification in HR (e.g. CIPD Level 3).

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing new starters, movers, and leavers in the business
  • Sending offer letters, drafting employment contracts, and setting up employee files
  • Gathering new starter documentation such as right to work, tax documents, and references
  • Issuing letters pertaining to changes in employee contracts or warning letters
  • Updating and maintaining the HR database
  • Attending disciplinary hearings and taking notes/minutes
  • Answering HR queries including reference requests for previous employees
  • Recording employee absence and holiday requests
  • Assisting with collating payroll data for the external payroll company
  • Producing monthly and ad hoc HR reports
  • Supporting HR projects as mentioned above

Due to the nature of this role, previous experience in a similar position is required. As mentioned, a professional qualification in HR is ideal or the successful candidate must be willing to study towards a qualification.
