We’re recruiting for a motivated and organised HR professional to join our client’s small and friendly team. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day HR activities as well as other long-term projects such as pay reviews, appraisals, and ongoing employee training and development.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and will ideally possess a professional qualification in HR (e.g. CIPD Level 3).
Responsibilities include:
- Processing new starters, movers, and leavers in the business
- Sending offer letters, drafting employment contracts, and setting up employee files
- Gathering new starter documentation such as right to work, tax documents, and references
- Issuing letters pertaining to changes in employee contracts or warning letters
- Updating and maintaining the HR database
- Attending disciplinary hearings and taking notes/minutes
- Answering HR queries including reference requests for previous employees
- Recording employee absence and holiday requests
- Assisting with collating payroll data for the external payroll company
- Producing monthly and ad hoc HR reports
- Supporting HR projects as mentioned above
Due to the nature of this role, previous experience in a similar position is required. As mentioned, a professional qualification in HR is ideal or the successful candidate must be willing to study towards a qualification.

This is a full-time, office hours post which will be based entirely in the office. There is free parking on site.
