Production Planner – Duxford – £40,000 (Days)
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for optimizing production schedules? We’re looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our team in Duxford, working days and earning £40,000 per year.
About the Role:
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for receiving, coordinating, and prioritizing stock replenishment (MTS) and customer orders (MTO) for the medium-term horizon. You’ll create and manage the master production schedule to ensure optimal inventory levels, timely deliveries, and support site performance targets. You’ll also collaborate closely with the wider European Supply Chain Team to meet customer delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a medium-term production plan aligned with forecast demand and customer orders, based on available capacity.
- Adjust production schedules in response to order or operational changes.
- Work closely with the production scheduler to meet delivery commitments and provide backup support when needed.
- Identify and address mid to long-term production constraints.
- Analyse demand fluctuations and assess their impact on operations.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability and minimize backorders.
- Set priorities to achieve OTIF (On Time In Full) and schedule adherence targets.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes to meet supply chain objectives.
- Communicate effectively with demand planners, supply planners, and customer service teams.
- Ensure site and supply chain KPIs are met.
