As Deputy Care Manager, you will assist in the daily running of the home, overseeing the care team, and ensuring the highest level of care is consistently provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the home while maintaining high standards of care
- Oversee and support the care staff, taking full management responsibility in the Home Manager's absence
- Train and supervise care staff through direct instruction and by leading by example
- Support the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents
- Ensure resident care plans and daily records are accurately maintained and up to date
- Foster effective communication with residents' families and external organizations
- Encourage residents and their families to actively participate in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care plans
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Deputy Care Manager (or similar role)
- Strong understanding of CQC standards
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
