Job Title: Forklift Truck Mechanic
Location: Sunderland
Pay: £20.17 per hour
We are currently seeking a Forklift Truck Mechanic/Technician to join a globally recognised automotive client based in Sunderland. This is an ongoing contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
As an FLT Technician, you will be part of a team responsible for the servicing and maintenance of forklifts on-site for a large car manufacturing business. Your duties will include:
• Conducting planned maintenance on forklifts (FLT)
• Performing priority repairs on any breakdowns
• Following technical diagrams and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications & Experience:
• Ideally possess a City & Guilds (C&G) / BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering with a recognised apprenticeship.
• Previous experience in automotive or mobile plant equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Experience with gas and electric FLTs is an advantage.
• Fleet maintenance experience of forklifts, preferably LPG, as well as backgrounds in HGV, LGV, or car mechanics, will also be considered.
Hours & Pay:
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 39 hours per week
• Rate: £19.48 per hour
