The School and Role
Vison for Education are working alongside a school in Durham to recruit for a PMLD Teaching Assistant to work with their students who have Profound and Multiple Learning needs. This will be a maternity cover starting in March 2025 and will run up until October 2025.
As a PMLD Teaching Assistant you will need to have sound knowledge of the challenges young people face, excellent communication skills and ideally hold a moving and handling qualification.
Requirements
The desired PMLD Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of all SEND pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
