What you'll be doing

 

As one of our brokers you will be working as part of a dynamic integrated team alongside our Corporate Account Executives, Broking Managers and Claims team. Being a Broker means you will need to learn and develop strong technical abilities, keeping our customer at the heart of everything you do.

In addition to this we will be fast tracking you through your professional insurance qualifications! Cert CII, DIP CII and ACII

The role of a Broker is ideal for someone who;

  • Enjoys discussion and negotiation with the ability to develop relationships
  • Has an eagle eye attention to detail
  • Has excellent organisational skills
  • Possesses a strong drive to get on and progress

Our Graduate program

From your first day you will receive commercial exposure and participate in a structured training and development program to provide you with a comprehensive introduction to the world of risk and insurance broking.

In addition to your commercial work, you will have half a day a week to focus on study as well as studying in your own time, alongside support and encouragement for you to become professionally accredited as Cert CII within 18 months, and DIP CII within a 2-to-3-year period.

Online multiple choice exams and assessments from the basis of the insurance qualification pathway which you will undertake on modular basis covering areas such as:

  • Insurance -  Legal &Regulatory
  • Commercial Insurance Business
  • Insurance Underwriting Process
  • Insurance Law
  • Insurance Business & Finance

Our in-house training resource - The Romero Academy – will ensure learning and development takes place using a wide range of styles including: 

  • Face to face learning
  • E-Learning
  • Podcasts
  • Webinars
  • Attendance at conferences and industry events


The classroom-based training is delivered by our group training manager who has over 40 years’ experience in the insurance broking profession. 

You may have experience in any of the following: the insurance sector, legal, loss adjusting, recruitment, financial services, PA, secretarial, education, business administration.
