Project Engineer

35 - 45 per hour

40 Hours Per week, 8 hour shifts each day

Manpower has an exciting opportunity to join our client on their Yeovil site as a Project Engineer. This role will be focusing on technical publications for Yeovil and working with suppliers and will involve liaising with the engineering teams on site.

In return we will be able to offer a hybrid working model of 3 days in office, 2 days working from home (after an initial 6-8-week period of full office hours)

This role is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Creating & raising POs with the supplier for some of the work, lead time and costs from the supplier.
• A lot of interaction with the suppliers will be over the phone and email but hoping to get the suppliers to come on site.
• Requirement collation and proposal template preparation.
• Estimations in AET (Estimation Tool)
• Review and approval documents (only applicable docs)
• Submission to OEM
• Liaising with engineering in Yeovil on the finer detail of the hardware.

Requirements:

• Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS and Drugs Screening.
• 2-3 years of experience in this field would be ideal.
• Experience working as a project engineer.
• Ability to communicate clearly & concisely on complex technical matters to various levels in the organisation.
• Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize tasks quickly in a dynamically changing environment.
