The school is a small, independent school dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for children aged 6-16 with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), dyslexia, and educational trauma. The Role:
The school are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will have a background in special educational needs (SEN) and will be adept at differentiating instruction to meet the varied needs of our students, instilling a love of learning and confidence in our students.
Success Criteria:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Mathematics or a related field, with relevant teaching experience.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with SpLD and dyslexia.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate curriculum and assessment to cater to individual learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Maths Teacher within our special school, you can expect to:
- Develop and implement engaging and adaptive maths lessons tailored to the diverse abilities of students.
- Conduct regular assessments to track progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with support staff and specialists to create inclusive learning experiences.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Engage with parents and caregivers, providing updates on student progress and strategies to support learning at home.
