Reed Accountancy are partnered with a well-established organisation in the recruitment for a temporary Part-TimeBookkeeper to join their team. Initially this role will be 2 days a week for a 2-month project. However, could well be extended.

As a Bookkeeper, your key duties will include:

  • Input all day-to-day financial transactions into the accounting system.
  • Process and verify all payable invoices by the end of each month.
  • Manage the purchase ledger function on Sage, including processing purchase invoices and expense claims.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries and issues.
  • Conduct payment runs and reconciliations and allocate direct debit payments.
  • Reconcile payments and customer receipts in multiple currencies.
  • Post all receipts/credits on the computer system to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Assist in filing all paperwork generated within the Accounts team.
  • Keep bank accounts up to date and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Verify and reconcile company credit card transactions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Data entry skills with a strong aptitude for numbers.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with accounts software, preferably Sage (training can be provided if unfamiliar).
  • Negotiation skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
