Fine dining HEAD CHEF required for our client, located in the outer East Grinstead area. You will be responsible for a dedicated kitchen brigade reporting to the Executive Chef in this award-winning restaurant producing dishes across a seasonal menu. You will use the very best of British grown, reared and sourced produce. Transport will be required due to location.

The Role of Head chef:

  • The Head Chef has responsibility for a team of 6 Chefs and KPs.
  • Flexible shifts covering breakfast, lunch, dinner service including weekend working (5 days per week)
  • Producing 2 Rosette standard food in a fresh food environment
  • The passion and drive to contribute to the future success of the kitchen brigade by continuing to develop award winning dishes
  • Sourcing and utilising top British suppliers and producers
  • The Head Chef must have the ability to train, coach, develop, motivate and enthuse a young, committed team to deliver excellent standards of cuisine across the full range of kitchen departments
  • The flair to contribute practical, costed and exciting dishes for our range of menus
  • Achieving rosette quality food while effectively managing the GP, stock and wastage
  • Ensure health, safety and HACCP standards are achieved meeting legal and company requirements

Requirements for the role of Head chef:

  • Quality experience in a fresh food environment to Rosette standard
  • The passion and drive to contribute to the future success of the kitchen brigade who continue to develop award winning dishes
  • The Head Chef must have a proven record of managing, training, coaching and motivating a team of quality chef at Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef level in a 4 + star hotel / restaurant
  • Ability to control GP and stocks
  • Its is desired the Head Chef will have a level 3 Food Hygiene qualification
  • A proven record of achieving excellent standards of hygiene

Salary for the role of HEAD CHEF, is given as iro £52,000 (£50,000 basic annual salary, plus a share of the service charge payment in the region of £2,000 / per annum paid monthly). Plus other company benefits. Transport will be required due to location.
