Manual Machinist required to join a well-established company based in the East Grinstead area, they are a leading provider of high-quality fabrications and components for various industries, including Medical and Science. With a commitment to precision, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a skilled General Machinist to join our dynamic team.
Manual Machinist Position Overview
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, Horizontal borers, and CNC machines, to produce precision components according to specifications.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect and measure finished products using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet specifications.
- Select appropriate materials for each job, considering factors such as hardness, machinability, and application.
- dhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Manual Machinist Position Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Machinist in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating both manual and CNC machines is advantageous
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tools.
- Experience with precision measurement tools and techniques.
- Solid knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a machining environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Manual Machinist Position Remuneration
- Full time - Permanent position
- Monday to Friday - 8:00 - 4:30 (2pm finish on Fridays)
- Competitive salary (depending on experience)
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays
