Teaching Assistant - Outskirts of East Grinstead - Driving essential due to location

Lloyd Recruitment Services are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the educational development of students in a dynamic learning environment. This role is essential in fostering a positive atmosphere where students can thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the educational and personal development of students, ensuring their welfare and safeguarding
  • Work closely with teachers to provide targeted assistance to individual students or small groups
  • Help maintain an organised and stimulating classroom environment
  • Promote positive behaviour and support students during classroom activities and breaks
  • Assist in preparing learning materials and managing classroom tasks
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents to promote a collaborative learning experience
  • Participate in school policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and well-being
  • Drive the school van or personal vehicle for off-site activities, as needed

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Teaching Assistant Qualification or actively pursuing a Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a supportive environment
  • Knowledge of the challenges faced by children and young people with varying abilities
