Trainee Teaching Assistant - Outskirts of East Grinstead - Driving Required Due to Location

Lloyd Recruitment Services are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school and help students achieve their educational potential. What we offer:

Salary: Starting at £21,764, increasing to £22,645 once the Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is completed
Working hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:45 AM - 4:00 PM; Wednesday and Friday 8:45 AM - 3:30 PM
Term-time position only

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support for the educational and personal development of students, ensuring their welfare and safety
Work alongside teachers to offer focused assistance to individual students or small groups
Maintain a well-organised, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment
Encourage positive behaviour and assist students during lessons, breaks, and other activities
Assist in the preparation of learning resources and the management of classroom duties
Communicate clearly with staff, students, and parents to enhance the overall learning experience
Follow school policies related to health, safety, and student well-being
Drive the school van or your own vehicle for off-site activities, when necessary

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

A Teaching Assistant qualification, or actively working towards one
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
Previous experience working with children or young people
Ability to work well within a team and support a positive learning environment
Understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people with a range of abilities
