Head of Academic Curriculum
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Academic Curriculum to join a forward-thinking school supporting learners aged 7-19. This key leadership role ensures the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive academic curriculum that meets the diverse needs of all students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the academic curriculum, ensuring it is broad, balanced, and engaging.
- Monitor teaching quality and student outcomes, using data to drive improvements in learning.
- Provide outstanding leadership to the academic team, supporting teachers and Teaching Assistants in delivering high-quality lessons.
- Support the strategic vision of the school by collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Oversee staff performance management, professional development, and the implementation of effective teaching strategies.
- Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of students in collaboration with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
The ideal Head of Academic Curriculum will:
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire others.
- Have proven experience managing staff and leading curriculum development.
- Be committed to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within the school.
- Be highly organised, with the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to foster relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Hours: 8.15 am - 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday during term time. Additional days required during school holidays.
- Responsibilities: Curriculum planning, staff management, data analysis, and safeguarding.
