Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the English department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

To be considered, suitable candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A degree in English or a relevant subject area.
  • Proven experience of teaching GCSE English (essential).
  • Teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS) or a willingness to work towards them with support.
  • A good basic general education, including GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C or above.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students effectively.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) is advantageous.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use IT effectively in the classroom.
