As an LSA Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome learning barriers and achieve their full potential. Your support will contribute to creating an inclusive and engaging educational experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities for a Learning Support Assistant
- Work closely with teachers to support lesson delivery across various subjects.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students who need extra help.
- Assist students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, structured learning environment.
- Support students' social and emotional development, fostering confidence and independence.
- Prepare learning resources and assist with lesson planning under teacher guidance.
Requirements
- Experience working with young people or in an educational setting is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a school environment.
