Lloyd Recruitment Services is pleased to be working with a reputable business in search of an Environmental and Sustainability Executive. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development and delivery of a comprehensive sustainability framework.

Purpose of the Role:

As the Environmental and Sustainability Executive, you will support the team in driving forward the company's sustainability agenda. You will coordinate sustainability reporting and help deliver clear and compelling communications around the company's environmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities for the Environmental and Sustainability Executive:

  • Accreditation Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the company's accreditation scheme, acting as the key contact for internal teams and external providers
  • Data Accuracy: Ensure the collection and accuracy of data from across the business to support the accreditation process
  • Sustainability Enhancements: Identify and implement improvements to work processes that contribute to the sustainability agenda and improve accreditation ratings
  • Support Environmental Strategy: Assist in the development of environmental strategies and related policies
  • Energy & Carbon Reporting: Work with the team to deliver initiatives under the Energy Saving Opportunities Scheme and manage carbon reporting processes
  • Sustainability Champions Group: Lead the internal Sustainability Champion group to engage teams in initiatives focused on waste management, energy and water conservation, sustainable work environments, and biodiversity
  • External Partnerships: Manage relationships with external consultants and provide summaries of key proposals
  • Project Management: Support the Strategic Product Development & Sustainability Manager on sustainability-related projects and new innovations across the business
  • Internal & External Communication: Work closely with the marketing and internal communications teams to share the company's sustainability story with staff, clients, and partners
  • Member Feedback: Collaborate with the Insight and Planning Manager to gather feedback on key sustainability initiatives
  • Stay Informed: Keep up to date with legislative changes and environmental trends

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Enthusiasm for sustainability and environmental issues, with a proactive approach to finding creative solutions
  • Previous experience in sustainability, environmental roles, or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • Strong project management skills or a willingness to develop in this area
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with confidence in engaging both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and interpretation skills
  • Flexibility for UK-wide travel, with occasional overnight stays required
