Quality Inspector

Full time permanent role

Mon-Fri 0830-1730 only

Role based close to East Grinstead. Due to rural location of the offices, you will need to be a driver and have your own transport. There is plenty of free parking on site for all staff.

Salary £26000 per annum (£12.50 per hour), plus very good company benefits - holiday entitlement increases by one day per year (up to 25 days plus all UK bank holidays)

The role - Quality Inspector

My client is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual who will be responsible for ensuring that the product meets all quality standards before it goes to the customer.

Duties will include:

  • Following all the quality control policies/procedures and ensuring quality check procedures are adhered to
  • Inspecting final product to ensure goods produced meet Quality Standard criteria.
  • Pro-actively identify quality issues and bring to the attention of the line manager.
  • Documenting any quality issues
  • Ensuring checklists are filled for every order
  • Quality check of packages before loading on to the lorry.
  • Working alongside the Production Management team
  • Process all internal production rejects, manage the quarantine and inspection procedure.
  • Gather the data on daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify material waste drivers.
  • Minimise scrap and customer returns by instigating containment and root cause counter measures as required.
  • Checking of supplier product quality.

Experience, competencies and knowledge required:

  • Able to use 2D auto Cad LT
  • Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawings and specifications.
  • Previous experience of working in a quality or materials inspection role.
  • An understanding of industry safety standards.
  • The ability to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
