Geography Teacher - Secondary School (East Grinstead)

I'm currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join one of our excellent secondary schools in East Grinstead. This is a fantastic chance to inspire students with your love for the subject, promote global awareness, and help students develop valuable skills in critical thinking and analysis in a dynamic school environment.

Position Details:

• Location: East Grinstead, West Sussex
• Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term, or Permanent
• Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible

Your Role as a Geography Teacher:
As a Geography Teacher, you will:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
• Inspire students to explore both physical and human geography topics, fostering curiosity about the world around them.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Geography curriculum and develop innovative teaching strategies.
• Encourage students to understand global issues such as climate change, urbanization, and sustainability.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and contribute to the wider school community.

What We're Looking For:
We're keen to hear from candidates who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Have a strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Geography.
• Are able to engage students of all abilities and inspire a love for the subject.
• Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Have experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (experience with Key Stage 5 is a bonus but not essential).
