Job Overview for a PE Teacher (Female):

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher (Female) to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting physical fitness, well-being, and teamwork among students of all abilities. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons that inspire students to participate in physical activity both within and outside the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5), ensuring alignment with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive, active, and inclusive learning environment, encouraging all students to participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members, including PE colleagues, to promote cross-curricular learning and the holistic development of students.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students during physical activities, strictly adhering to safeguarding and health & safety regulations.
  • Manage PE equipment and resources, ensuring they are maintained in good condition and used safely.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting is desirable, though NQTs (Newly Qualified Teachers) are welcome to apply.
  • A strong understanding of the national PE curriculum and the ability to teach a broad range of sports.
  • Experience in organising and coaching school sports teams and extracurricular activities is advantageous.
