Religious Education (RE) Teacher - Secondary School (East Grinstead)

Position Details for a RE Teacher:

• Location: East Grinstead, West Sussex
• Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term, or Permanent
• Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible

Your Role as an RE Teacher:
As an RE Teacher, you will:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons on religious studies, philosophy, and ethics to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
• Foster an inclusive classroom where diverse perspectives and critical thinking are encouraged.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop a rich and thought-provoking RE curriculum.
• Encourage students to engage with global issues and ethical debates, promoting tolerance and understanding.
• Contribute to the school community through participation in extracurricular activities or events.

What We're Looking For:
We'd love to hear from candidates who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Have a strong knowledge of Religious Studies and a passion for teaching the subject.
• Are skilled in classroom management and capable of inspiring students of varying abilities.
• Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Have experience teaching RE at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (experience with Key Stage 5 is a bonus).
